Canterbury and Surrounding Villages

Faversham

Coastal Kent

• Head to Whitstable for independent shops and cafes, famous oysters, and a traditional fishing harbour

• Try Herne Bay for amusement arcades, a pier and traditional fish and chips

• Broadstairs has a sandy bay and historic buildings, including the Charles Dickens museum

• At Ramsgate, you'll find a busy marina,  and quirky shops under the arches

• For family activities, try Margate - vintage style theme park rides at Dreamland, a sandy beach and the Turner Contemporary Art Gallery.

• Along the south coast you can visit the White Cliffs and Castle at Dover, the Harbour Arm at Folkestone and the popular market in Deal.
